Research studies done at the University of Chemnitz, Germany, “Physiological and psychological effects of a Drums Alive® Intervention in comparison to a conventional Sport Therapy program with digressional symptomatic patients” – Jacqui Böhr 2012, showed that a Drums Alive® workout in comparison to conventional Sport Therapy training was particularly beneficial for this population. The combination of movement and music, rhythm, and drumming motivated and allowed patients an avenue for stress release. The Drums Alive® Intervention showed a significantly higher rating of FUN and engagement in comparison to the conventional Sport Therapy intervention.
