SPLIT BALL DRUMMING

Begin by standing in an open stride position. Focus is front. Knees slightly bent. Back is long and strong. Begin with Open Single Beats (OSB), Right & Left (first half tempo and then progress to tempo). Split Ball drumming 1
Raise arms overhead for Overhead Clicks (OC).  Extend knees. Focus may be forward or looking in the direction of the drumsticks. Begin half tempo, then tempo. Split Ball drumming 2
Slightly bend the right knee and perform Double Beats (DB) to the Right Neighbor Ball (RNB).  Focus may be forward or looking in the direction of the drumsticks. Begin half tempo, then tempo. Split Ball drumming 3
Slightly bend the left knee and perform Double Beats (DB) to the Left Neighbor Ball (LNB).  Focus may be forward or looking in the direction of the drumsticks. Begin half tempo, then tempo. Split Ball drumming 4
Tip:  When drumming in a group setting make sure that when you drum on the neighbor’s ball you DO NOT drum on the top of the ball, rather slightly down from the top on the side of either the RNB or LNB.
