Chapter 2: Practical Assignments

Make an emergency plan for the facilities where you teach or could be teaching a Golden Beats class:

1. Emergency Hot Line Telephone Number:  ____________________

3. Prepare a contact information sheet for your classes–list each participant’s emergency contact information.
4. Prepare or download a ParQ Evaluation or Health Screening form for each of your participants. Screening forms are available through the American Council on Exercise: http://www.acefitness.org/ and the American College of Sport Medicine: http://www.acsm.org/.
5. Be CPR certified.
6. Take a First Aid course or update your first aid knowledge.
7. Create a sheet that contains the basic guidelines for assessing a victim’s condition.
