Relax and Stretch

During this journey, it is important to allow the body, mind and spirit to calm down, recollect and relax. Ensure time to stretch the muscles and enjoy the kinesthetic aspects of the ball. Fill your body, mind and spirit with positive thoughts and healing energy.


  • Focus on calming drumming for stress reduction
  • Focus on breath and slowing down the body’s rhythms.
  • Once the heart and respiration rates have returned to an appropriate level, stretching exercises can begin.
  • Stretching exercises should be safe and follow the guidelines for a safe, yet effective stretch.

Because of the extensive upper body activity in the Drums Alive® program, some muscles may need more attention than others. Therefore, it is especially important to stretch all muscles of the upper torso (shoulders, arms & neck).
